In this language school, they hold wonderful Russian speaking meetings each month. And also, teacher is professional and qualified. Each student will get their language courses base on their level. Due to level based courses, I got progress on Russian efficiently. Besides, faculties are willing to assistance their student, if you want to improve your language skill or pass TORFL, Zlatouts is the best choice.

I was already taking classes in this school for one month when I was living in Saint Petersburg. I recently moved back to Germany, but I continue the classes online via Skype and can totally recommend this school for both, in-person classes as well as for online classes. They always adapted perfectly to my needs, which is why I am very happy I can continue the classes from Germany.

I highly recommend this school. I finished 3 weeks of Russian courses and I really enjoyed my time there ! The school team is really helpful and available to answer all questions before the arrival and take care of your needs during the stay. They don't hesitate to give good advices about the places to visit. I was also convinced by the courses with Irina. We are speaking a lot during classes and using various formats (texts, YouTube video, Russian song, little games,.. ) I feel I understand much better and easier the language now ! I still have progress to do in the speaking part but why not coming back again to improve this part !

All I can say is that I can't wait to take another course in this school! The teacher I had, Irina, was amazing. She knows how to put you at ease, which is really important when you're learning a language and you're afraid of making mistakes. She was happy to answer any question and was able to explain the most difficult grammar topics in a very simple way (like motion verbs, aspects, cases). In only 28 h of course I feel much more confident speaking, I can feel a real improvement. You don't even feel the time passing during the lesson because the way they teach is so fun and engaging. You have the chance to train every skill, speaking, listening, writing. Last but not least, the place is so welcoming, and you can have tea and cookies for a nice break :) I highly recommend this school, it's definitely a 10/10.

Last week, I completed a two-week Russian language course at Zlatoust School, and I can genuinely say it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! Right from the beginning, the team was super helpful. They answered all my questions before I arrived and made sure everything was clear. The school is located in Saint Petersburg, which is such a beautiful and vibrant city—it’s full of history, amazing architecture, and cool neighborhoods to explore. I tried to get out and see something new every day after class. The classes themselves were small and friendly, which made a huge difference. We had a great group of classmates from different countries, and it was fun getting to know each other while learning. There was a good balance of grammar, conversation, and interactive activities like games and roleplays. It kept the energy up and made it easier to stay engaged. After two weeks, I can confidently say I understand the Russian language much better, especially in terms of grammar and reading comprehension. Speaking still takes a bit more practice for me, but I definitely feel more confident and motivated to continue. I’m already thinking about coming back to keep building on what I’ve learned. A big thank you to the entire Zlatoust School team—you made this an unforgettable and enriching experience!

Катя — замечательный преподаватель, у неё очень дружелюбный подход, и заниматься с ней — одно удовольствие. Она всегда адаптирует уроки под мои нужды: у нас много разговоров (с ней можно поговорить на самые разные темы!), теория, практика и упражнения. I'm taking Russian lessons at Zlatoust with two of my children, ages 11 and 15. Our teachers are committed to our success and very competent. They go at the challenging pace we need without either leaving us behind or letting us stagnate on topics we already understand, which is the primary benefit of the small group size (as opposed to large classes). So far, in addition to the classroom time, we've gone on a long "vocabulary walk" around the city and a hands-on class in which we learned kitchen vocabulary while cooking борщ. We've gained an incredible amount of progress in the 4 months we've attended! I highly recommend Zlatoust for anyone who is serious about learning Russian.

I have been attending the Grammar master classes they offer online, and I have found them incredibly useful. I am an older learner at roughly A2 level, but as a self learner with little time it's very hard to stay motivated and keep practicing. The material they offer is well prepared and professional, the tutors are knowledgeable and friendly, and it's such a relaxed and easy place to come and study. They organise all sorts of groups, courses and podcasts at various levels. Extremely good value for money, too. I'm really glad I found this language school - they are highly recommended; I hope to visit them in St Petersburg one day! Thank you, Team Zlatoust :)

About the weekly speaking club Experience - I absolutely enjoy the speaking club every week. You get a lot of chance to do unrehearsed talking, which is what language is for - to be able to hold an unscripted and natural conversation. I kind of use the speaking club as as a mini check-in for myself and I can see how much I've progressed in the past three months. I get a lot more comfortable now talking with strangers, especially native Russian speakers, in Russian. I find it very interesting that I not only learn from the discussion leaders who are native Russian speakers, but the other Russian learners of my level - noticing the words they use in their speeches and the mistakes they make help me greatly in recognizing my inactive vocabularies and remembering the right conjugation. Price - for less than the price for a cup of coffee you get the biggest booster for your speaking. The value is no less than an intense one-on-one class. Organization - Zlatoust is definitely on top of it. Prior to each session, you receive materials and videos about the topic for this week via email, so you get to familiarize yourself with the new words without feeling burdened to do a serious preview. Discussion and breakout rooms - During each session, you'll be sent into breakout rooms and get to talk for an hour straight. I have never been in breakout room with more than 3 people so I get to talk and do active listening a lot each time. The discussion leaders rotate around the rooms so you get to hear how different native speakers talk and through time, you'd even be able to identify their speech styles and patterns. They are very helpful - they enunciate without intentionally slowing down for participants, but are very quick in recognizing what you do not understand and would write it down in chat for everyone to see and repeat. English is used only when absolutely necessary (eg. translating a concept or an advanced word).

I am a student at the Zlatoust Russian Language School and I highly recommend the school to anyone wanting to learn Russian or improve their language skills. I've really enjoyed all the different online options they offer and the teachers are extremely helpful and patient. The Telegram course and grammar workshops are both great. They have courses and workshops for all levels and offer in person classes as well. I definitely recommend this school! :)

I spent 3 weeks having offline face to face lessons + 1 week online lessons in this school. It was excellent, I can recommend. The teachers are very professional, highly educated specialists but also nice people and I liked spending my time there. The school is modern and they even have their own bookstore with study books and simplified classic russian literature making it suitable for students. They provide the visa invitation too so you can apply for study visa instead of tourist visa and stay longer than 1 month in Russia. So, overally very good. Hopefully, the next year I'll go again.

After not being able to find any Russian language teachers in my country, I came across a free webinar that Zlatoust was hosting which I am glad to have attended. Following this, I enrolled in bi-weekly online classes. Over the past 4–5 months of studying with them, I’ve noticed real progress in my Russian. I like their teaching approach: new grammar is introduced, but there is also a strong focus on practicing conversation. We receive regular written homework and have access to exercises on the online platform, both of which are very helpful. Our teacher is attentive, kind, and patient, and always takes the time to explain topics clearly to ensure we understand. Overall, I would recommend this school. I like both the teaching style and the pace of the lessons.

После единственного года изучения русского языка в университете, а затем долгого периода забвения в течение моей карьеры музыканта, я вернулся к русскому с нуля, мотивированный воспоминаниями о прекрасном профессоре, который в то время сильно вдохновлял меня. Но изучать иностранный язык на пенсии не так легко, как в возрасте 20 лет, особенно разговорную речь. После периода освоения грамматики и базового общения я связался с учительницей, с которой начал общаться через интернет, чтобы разговаривать более регулярно. Затем, желая расширить круг своих контактов с русскоговорящими, я наткнулся на Разговорный клуб "Златоуст", которому давно остаюсь верным по четвергам. Там проводятся разговоры с разными носителями русского языка. Чаще всего я провожу это время вместе с каким-нибудь другим учеником, но иногда оказываюсь один на один со сменяющими друг друга учителями-волонтёрами... что имеет свои преимущества. Тем не менее, общение с другими учениками обогащает беседу и позволяет мне сравнивать свои успехи с сильными и слабыми сторонами каждого.
