This was our first trip to St-Petersburg, and to Russia for that matter. Their website pictures do not pay this hotel justice. ||||My wife and I were overwhelmingly surprised by the size and appointment of the room. The decor, furniture placement, the attention to detail, this was human factors engineering at its finest. ||||The service was impeccable and their sense of anticipation at our needs were well beyond our expectations. As an example, we had to check-out early morning to meet our flight schedule. They immediately volunteered to provide us with a breakfast on the go, and offered to call us a taxi for that morning.||||The hotel location allowed us to walk to most important venues such as the Hermitage, Nikolai palace, Sacred Blood cathedral et al... We were in the heart of the heritage district. ||||We don't usually write reviews, however Big Marine hotel is a credit to St-Petersburg and Russian hospitality. Our stay was too short, and because of our positive experience, we do intend on returning to St-Petersburg, and most definatly lodge at the Big Marine hotel.

Very nice hotel, full of charm and very cost. Well situated and very comfortable. The architecture and decoration old style is really full of charm and beautiful . The staff is smiley and helpful . Highly recommended place

Das Hotel besticht vor allem durch seine ausgezeichnete Lage im Stadtzentrum. Die Sankt Isaac Kathedrale ist gleich ums Eck und auch die Eremitage ist gerade einmal 15 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt.|Das Zimmer war recht klein, aber für zwei Personen völlig ausreichend und zudem sehr sauber. Das Haus selbst ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber dennoch besprüht vor allem der Frühstücksraum ganz oben nostalgischen Charme.||Auf den Punkt gebracht: Preisleistungsverhältnis ist absolut top! Gerne wieder.

Хороший отель без изысков. Безупречно чистые номера с большими комнатами и высокими потолками, хороший завтрак. Интерьер перегружен большим количеством артефактов из разных эпох и с разных континентов, что создаёт не самое лучшее впечатление о вкусах декоратора

Very nice hotel with renovated rooms. Rooms are very large and clean. Authentic breakfast room. Breakfast is simple, but as well with Russian as western style breakfast. Great place to stay in the centre of St.Peter. Everything on walking distance, like restaurants and touristic places.

Historical building with good location in a quiet area. Our room seemed newly renovated, and it was spacious enough for 3. Breakfast was ok, served on the upper floor in a historical room with lots of paintings. Walking distance to the main attractions.

This property offers value for money and is well located for easy walking access to the Hermitage, St Isaacs Cathedral, Yusupov Palace and the main shopping area. was also handy to have a foreign exchange service close by. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was included. Draw back for me was that there is no lift and one has to climb a fair share of stairs. But the value for money remains key as well as the good location so will likely stay there again in future.

This was a superb choice for our first three days in Saint Petersburg prior to boarding our river cruise to Moscow. We booked number 29, apparently the property’s only suite. Everything was top notch. The included breakfast was plentiful. The front desk staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay here again. |Highly Recommended

Look no further! This hotel has it all and even more: gorgeous historical building, beautiful interior, comfortable, super clean rooms and absolutely stunning dining room where they serve breakfasts every day. And it’s SO close to the main attractions!!! I can’t wait to be back!

Отель - супер! Находится в историческом особняке, завтраки проходят в старинной столовой. Отличное расположение. Немного далековато от метро, но все достопримечательности - в пешей доступности. Качественная уборка, очень чисто. Если окна выходят во двор-колодец- может быть шумно, так как двор жилой, там еще и парковка. Жаль, что часть комнат особняка недоступны.

Loved this hotel! I had a super cute single room on the street side, and had some of the best sleeps of my life. Very quiet. Perfect location for exploring the city by foot. Close to everything. The women on the desk were kind and helpful. They snuck a bottle of wine into my room for my birthday. So sweet! The breakfast was wonderful. I’d stay here again.

Прекрасное расположение, бюджетная стоимость, очень удобные кровати, что редкость в несетевых отелях. Из минусов, пожалуй, ресепшн советской школы постепенно переходящий на сторону добра и небольшие номера. Очень красивый холл.

Sehr schönes privates preiswertes Hotel im Zentrum der Stadt, von wo alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar sind. Guter Service, freundliches Personal.

Замечательное место с точки зрения расположения. В здании сохранены некоторые интерьеры, в том числе зал немецких сказок. Прекрасный буфет. Изумительный персонал.
